Feel a river.
In a world where humans control, canalise, contain, commodify, and industrialise rivers, what happens if the river instead takes control over the flesh of human bodies?
Stream 003: LEA is an experimental dance improvisation suit that streams River Lea in real time through a system of wearables distributed across the body. The suit transfers the river’s roar, flow, aeration, and shifting states into multi-sensory stimuli-vibration, sound, rhythm, and tempo that the body performs.
The body becomes an extension of the river’s flow. A living territory through which the river inhabits the dance stage. You become a river performer. You perform as River Lea herself.
